An introduction to the life and work of George Brown, and his collection of ethnological artefacts.
George Brown collected a wide range of objects to record the daily and ceremonial life of the people he met. Here we introduce some of the objects in order to indicate the scope and style of the collection. (The images in this gallery are taken from the Japanese-language book published at the time of the exhibition.)
